Syrian army regains control of the Krak des Chevaliers castle

This Thursday the Syrian army regained the Krak des Chevaliers, historic fortress and one of the best preserved castles of the crusades era, in the central province of Homs, after eliminating the rebels entrenched in it.

After regaining control of the castle, the Syrian army hoisted the national flag on the fort.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least a dozen rebels were killed today’s clashes.
