Syrian Security Forces Killed 19 Civilians
This Friday the Syrian security forces killed at least 19 civilians in the midst of demonstrations in Homs. It is now official that people gather there every Friday to protests against the regime of Bashar al Assad.
Fifteen civilians died in Homs, one of the main leaders of the revolt, two were shot down from a military post, another two fell by a sniper and six during the investigations made by the security forces according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). Another two civilians died in Hama one by a sharpshooter and the other was crushed by the escaping crowd. Additionally an elderly man was killed after being run over by a military truck.
The opposition in Syria called again to the demonstrations to gather this through their Facebook page to protest against the regime. According to the UN, 3,000 people, mostly civilians have died since the demonstrations started on March 15. (AV)
