Work continues on the road Quito-Cumbayá-Tumbaco-Tababela leading to the new airport Mariscal Sucre.

Quito´s new airport, Tababela will start its first day of operations tomorrow with the arrival and departure of 129 flights, including domestic and international. The international flights will be 42 (26 arrivals and 16 departures), and 87domestil (50 arrivals and 37 departures).

Tame 302 EP flight, from Guayaquil, will open the landing lane at 09:00, while at 10:15 will depart a plane to Bogota. Instead, former air terminal Mariscal Sucre, which will close its operations today at 19:00, expected 7 flights: 4 national and 3 international. Five minutes before closing time, a Tame EP plane will depart to Guayaquil.

Travelers can use public transport from terminals Quitumbe (south) and Río Coca (north) to Tababela and will cost $2, between 05:00 and 24:00. From the old airport will be private transportation that will cost $8, available 24 hours leaving every 30 minutes.
