Tax collection moves away from the government’s goals
Posted On 27 Mar 2016
Tax revenues continue to fall. The decline in foreign trade tax collections that began in the early months of 2015, now joins a widespread drop in the heaviest weighted taxes: Value Added Tax (VAT), Income Tax (IR) and Foreign Exchange Outflows (ISD), which, according to analysts surveyed, shows a reduction in economic activity in the country.
The January report (the February report is not yet available) of the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) shows a revenue of $ 1,318 million, which is 8% lower than the same month of 2015.
