The banking sector expands its branch network
Guayaquil has grown at a rapid pace, it extends through the housing development circuits of Samborondón and the Pascuales- Aurora way.
In Piazza La Joya an agency of the Guayaquil bank was recently opened, which includes not only offices and ATMs, but a drive-service and A few kilometers ahead, in El Dorado hipermarket, that belongs to El Rosado Corporation, in Aurora, it has been announced the presence of more banks: Bolivariano and Guayaquil.
In another branch where the city grows, in the beach highway, they have also opened new offices. The last one is of the Pacifico Bank. This sector continues having presence in malls. In San Marino, the Pacifico bank already announces on the glass walls of one of the premises of the second floor its next opening.
Nationally, Pichincha bank is the one with the largest network: “It has 297 service points, 15,800 non-banking correspondents, 938 supermarkets, 78 depositories and 82 newsstands, distributed in 24 provinces and 107 cantons.” Furthermore, according to what the financial institution publishes on its website, it has 36 drive-services.
According to the Association of Private Banks of Ecuador (ABPEfor its Spanish acronym), “56% of the population are usera of the banking services, and of this, at least 40% use e-banking services.
