The CNE approved a plan to verify more than 900 thousand signatures

The National Electoral Council (CNE) approved in a plenary session the plan to proceed with the verification of signatures submitted by the parties and political movements in the process of registration in the electoral register.

There are 16 political organizations in this new verification process that seeks to or get new affiliates in order to achieve the 1.5% minimum support in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Democracy. 976,896 records or signatures that will be verified from April 15 to May 31 this year. “We are ready and have the capacity to host political organizations,” said the president of the CNE Juan Pablo Pozo.
