With five votes, the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) approved the design and delivery of forms for the collection of signatures requested by the Rafael With You Always Collective.

This group seeks to make way for the immediate reelection of President Rafael Correa, in February 2017, repealing the second transitional constitutional amendments adopted by the Assembly, which prevents him from running for elections.

The CNE received on April 21 the dossier for the Constitutional Court, which approved the referendum procedure raised by the group, led by Pamela Aguirre and Stephania Baldeon.

Since then, due to the earthquake of April 16, the group stopped its activities to focus on helping the victims. However, they announced they would resume their initiative. This week they did it and requested the delivery of forms and in the coming days they will make a announcement on the start of the process.
