The CNE comes into countdown to 2017
The schedule for presidential and legislative elections of 2017 is not yet defined. The National Electoral Council will make it public in February. However, the electoral body has in the queue several important activities targeted to define the process.
In February the Electoral Operative Plan must be approved; in September the Electoral Registry shall be published and between next October and November the registration of candidates for presidential pairs, national assembly members and the Andean Parliament shall be performed.
One of the nearest pending activities is to define the mechanism of work with political organizations, so that the electoral oversight starts its functions.
