The CNE will review the provincial political movements

In the coming weeks, the National Electoral Council (CNE) is planning to revise the provincial political organizations that participated in the elections of 2013 and 2014, in order to determine whether they complied with Article 327 of the Code of Democracy.

The announcement was made by the Councilor Magdala Villacís, during a workshop on Intercultural Democracy and Community held in Santo Domingo.

She explained that the provincial organizations will be applied item 4, which indicates they will lose their status: in the case that a local movement does not get at least 3% in two consecutive elections in its jurisdiction.
