The government will launch bonds worth $ 1,000 million to the stock market

The Ministry of Finance registered the issuance of bonds “up to 1,000 million dollars” at the Public Registry of the Securities Market, so these are bought by investors and thus attract liquidity

These resources shall be paid within a horizon of 20 years, a grace period for up to another 20 years and the interest rate may be fixed or variable. But it is the Ministry the one that will determine the rate prior to negotiations, “respecting those limits established for each term.”

The buyers of the bonds may be public or private investors. The government is launching these papers in stages. On Monday it issued the first $ 400 million through the stock markets of Quito and Guayaquil, as reported by the Committee on Debt and Financing to their presidents. These could be negotiated since yesterday.
