The Government’s proposal is to build and deliver 325,000 homes in 4 years. Decentralized Autonomous Governments will participate in the execution of this plan.
Government officials and representatives of the private sector began to work together to crystallize the House for All Plan, one of the flagship projects of President Lenin Moreno spread during the election campaign and which aims to involve private companies.
Last Tuesday, the first lines of action were defined in Guayaquil. At a meeting headed by the presidential advisor of Habitat Virgilio Hernandez and ministers from the productive sector, the actions to be implemented were determined. One of the first resolutions was to launch a pilot project plan.
For this end, the day and the place will be set in order to undertake the housing project. According to Hernández, the Government’s interest is first to build houses for the families affected by the earthquake of April 16 last year, especially from Manabi and Esmeraldas.
“Another element is to reach agreements with the Decentralized Autonomous Governments so that they participate in the implementation of the housing plan,” said the official. Hence, another action will be to approach the sectional authorities to involve them in the plan. (I)
