The Alianza PAIS (PA) closed yesterday the possibility for Vice President Jorge Glas to explain to the Legislature his political role in strategic state companies, something required by the opposition blocks.
In two continuous votings, AP won with 73 votes to deny the request of the CREO-SUMA and PSC parties, that had requested a change in the agenda of yesterday and the appearance of Glas. This, in relation to the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office on the Odebrecht case.
In contrast, the Parliament would already have the votes – of the opposition and AP – to censor Comptroller General Carlos Pólit, under investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
