The mobile application of taxi drivers is enabled

After 8 months of planning, yesterday was enabled the mobile application ‘A Taxi’. Through the program (which is downloaded in the virtual store) regulated taxi drivers will offer door to door service.

In this way the sector seeks to recover the space lost by informal drivers who keep increasing. The presentation was held yesterday at the headquarters of the Union of Taxi Drivers of Guayas.

With the help of a smart phone, the user can request one of the yellow vehicles that are nearby.

“The passenger waits three minutes, as the driver will be in a perimeter of three kilometers,” said union president, George Mera.

The leader stressed that the units have air conditioning “and the security kit is complemented”.

Xoat company is the creator of the application, allowing the user to check references of the vehicle and its driver; calculate the cost of career and check the requested route, and also to communicate with the driver.

 

“We have XXI century vehicles and the client wants a service of the XXII century, but it turns out that the care we provide is the from the XX century. The idea is to change that mentality”, said Oiner Torres, representative of Xoat.

 

In the union headquarters the call center also started operating (099- 4632380 and 099-8686771) to offer the service to passengers who do not have a smartphone.
