Mayor Jaime Nebot, with a vacations´s leave until April 11, in a telephone interview from Miami, said that he continues awaiting the Government to respond the technological breakdown request, to initiate national and international tender to find a company that will do the dredging job of the rocky obstacle at `Los Goles´.
He recalled that the Ordinance to “cut” the Rocky barrier, located at the entrance of the port system, and `nobody has dredged in more than 60 years´, has already been approved by the City Council, but despite the weekly request he makes to the Ministry of Transportation, in order to have an answer about the return of the authorization to continue the construction of the Deep Waters Port of Posorja, there are no results yet.
When asked about if he will meet with the Secretary of Policy Management and former candidate to the Mayor’s office, Viviana Bonilla, to discuss the subject of Posorja, because she wants to reach a “minimal agreement” with no-Government mayors, he said he has not received any invitation, and if he does, will analyze it. He anticipated that in any dialogue with the specific intention of solving problems, he will be present.
