The pharmaceutical sector and its ‘diseases’

More than 90% of the 53 pharmaceutical plants in the country have Ecuadorean capital and are managed by Ecuadoreans and technically directed by Ecuadoreans, according to a study of the pharmaceutical market conducted by the ESPAE of the Polytechnic School.

 

Therefore, the Ecuadorian Association of Pharmaceutical Laboratories (ALFE) calls on the authorities to take into account the problems the sector faces, so through a meeting to reach agreements that benefit both employers and customers.

 

It is estimated that there are 9,995 pharmacies in the country, of which 1,528 are in Guayaquil.
