The State ‘owes 72 million to the Municipality’

Councillor Eduardo del Pozo, a member of the Budget Commission of the Municipality of Quito, based on information provided by the general manager of the City Council, quantifies a state debt to the municipality of 72 million dollars, approximately.
Through the official letter No. 50-EP-2016, of February 19, General Administrator Miguel Davila is asked to inform what is the total amount of the Government´s contribution to the municipality, based on the provisions of sections 270 to 274 of the Constitution.
He was also asked to report on extrabudgetary securities delivered by the Government to the Municipality of Quito and what is the total value the Government still owes to the City Council.
