The State will finance the contributions of artists to Social Security

Posted On 29 May 2017

EcuadorNews:

It was another last-minute decision. On the eve of leaving office, former President Rafael Correa regulated the affiliation of artists and cultural managers to the social security.

An offer that took ten years to be fulfilled. The affiliation contained in the Cultural Act was approved on January 4, 2017, but had no specific regulations. However, along with the regulation, Rafael Correa left another economic slope to be resolved by the new government.

To access the social security benefits, artists and cultural managers must be registered in the Unique Registry of Artists and Cultural Managers (RUAC).
The Social Security will establish plans for social benefits and health.
