The United Nations sent a human rights mission to Ukraine

The United Nations sent a human rights mission to Ukraine

The United Nations Envoy,Ivan Simonovic, announced today the immediate deployment of a human rights mission to Ukraine, to document the violations perpetrated in this country, including the secessionist province of Crimea.

At the end of a visit to Ukraine, the UN representative said – in a statement – that this mission will also serve to reduce the tension within the country and to prevent future manipulations of information for political purposes.
