The government announcement on the alleged increase of proven oil reserves in the Ishpingo, Tambococha, and Tiputini blocks (ITT), also known as Block 43, located in the Yasuni National Park received technical, economic and ecological questionings.
Last week, Vice President Jorge Glas announced there was an increase of proved reserves in this block passing from 920 million to 1,670 million barrels.
The incorporation of 752 million barrels of new reserves will involve a greater production potential and it is intended to reach an average of 300 thousand barrels per day by 2022, explained operations manager of Petroamazonas Alex Galarraga.
