Today is the world day of Earth

50% of the world population lives in urban areas, for this reason, the World day Earth calls for a solution that enables sustainable development

Today, April 22 is World Earth Day, in search of a global awareness to pursue sustainable development and protect our environment. In 2009, the United Nations established this day as the Earth Day, in which millions of people from around the world join the celebration.

The theme of this year is `Green Cities´ addressed to the population living in urban areas, to find a solution to pollution and the use of alternative energy, since half the world’s population lives in cities.

NASA has joined the celebration by asking users of social networks to upload a selfie with the tag #GlobalSelfie in order to create a global mosaic.
