Tomislav Topic handed over USD 2.5 million to the Prosecutor’s Office as ‘evidence.’

Tomislav Topic is a shareholder of Telconet. This company is currently investigated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office within the Odebrecht case. In a document, prosecutor Diana Salazar asks Justice to authorize the deposit of USD 1, 9 million and another USD 600 000 in an account of Banco del Pacifico in the name of Inmobiliar (the public company in charge of holding money and assets involved in trials) “as evidence.”

“I offered to consign the money a creditor had received from unrecognized senders in 2010,” Tomislav said. The owner of Telconet mentioned that these payments were recorded in the company’s accounting reports as “unrecognized revenues.” In the document, Salazar also pointed out that Topic voluntarily delivered his laptop to be reviewed by an expert. The investigators will analyze the emails stored there.

On July 17, 2017, Topic rendered his free, voluntary, unsworn version of the Odebrecht case investigation.
