Tomorrow will be the first discussion on the draft Law of Rural Land

Yesterday, the President of the National Assembly, Gabriela Rivadeneira, convened the first discussion on the draft Law on Rural Land and Ancestral Domain for tomorrow. The main objective of this law is to regulate the use and access according to social and environmental parameters.

The discussion will be based on the report prepared by the Committee on Food Sovereignty, which would have included a recommendation for a pre-legislative consultation to be convened.

In addition, yesterday with 85 votes, the National Assembly adopted the Law on Public Recognition of the State in Cultural, Scientific and Sports areas for theConservation and Management of High Seas Fishery Resources in the South Pacific Ocean.
