Transitory Council ceased communication Superintendent

The 3 subcommittees that created the agency will work from Tuesday to Thursday and the resolutions will be communicated all those days through a spokesperson.

The first measure adopted by the Council of Citizen Participation and Transitory Social Control (CPCCST) was   cease from his position to Carlos Ochoa as head of the Superintendence of Communication.

The decision was adopted yesterday during the second meeting of the Council that was not attended by President Julio César Trujillo, who excused himself for a flu-like illness.

This was stated by Vice President Eduardo Mendoza, who led the session.

The   Counselor Myriam Felix, after almost two hours of meeting, read the reasons on which they based their decision. The main point was the dismissal that the General Comptroller of the State notified against Ochoa for alleged anomalies when he was news director at Gamavisión .

On December 11, the State Comptroller notified Ochoa about two glosses for $ 122,185 and the administrative sanction of dismissal.

In addition, he was fined $ 7,320. According to the control body, audits showed that Ochoa collected bonuses and benefits ($ 94,200) without legal support when he was news director of Gamavisiónbetween 2010 and 2013.

Counselor Félix stressed that the official will be notified with the order through the entity’s secretariat.

Ochoa offered a press conference in the afternoon. There he said that the Council exceeded its functions and that today it will present a protection action. He warned to go to international bodies but will comply, under protest, the dismissal.

Before entering the session, Mendoza said that the three subcommittees have already started working, but that there is still no procedure for the development of the sessions that supposedly should be public although the first two days have been developed behind closed doors.

Mendoza clarified that in the meantime there will be a weekly spokesperson who will explain every day the progress of the agency’s work. (I)
