Two options to improve the situation of the ISSFA
Posted On 18 Feb 2016
Ten pages summarize the current status of the Social Security of the Armed Forces. The report is called ‘Present and Future of the ISSFA’ and the conclusions recommend to increase from 20 to 25 years the minimum service time before retirement.
The document was in charge of a technical commission created by the Board of the ISSFA, in 2015. The study
was led by Vice Admiral Luis Santiago, dismissed 15 days ago along with the rest of the military leadership.
The increase in the years of service of active staff is positioned as an alternative to slow future economic problems predicted by the authorities of the ISSFA.
