U.S. confirms first E.coli case

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States reported the first confirmation of 4 suspected cases of the epidemic caused by E. coli bacteria in people who recently returned from Hamburg, Germany.
The patient was admitted to a hospital in Massachusetts after kidney complications by a syndrome called HUS associated with this bacterium.
In Germany, health authorities have not yet identified the source of this disease which has killed 25 people (only one in Sweden), and a balance of 2,300 affected in 14 countries.
