The decisions taken by labor unions and social organizations in Guayaquil add to the announced by the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE). “We will activate the great indigenous uprising when they address the issue of constitutional amendments,” stated Jorge Herrera, president of the indigenous organization.
