US Supreme Court Faces Complaints of Arizona Immigration Law
Posted On 26 Apr 2012
The US Supreme Court would be hearing arguments regarding the severe Arizona immigration law for the second time in a month. These complaints put the state officials against the Obama administration over the balance of power between states and the national government.
On April 25, the current issue is that Arizona is exceeding in its authority with a tough immigration enforcement of the Senate Bill 1070. The bill was designed to encourage illegal immigrants to pack up and leave.
The Arizona case appears a month after 26 states argued at the high court that Congress had overstepped its authority with the president’s health-care reform law. (AV)
