USA Asks for Wikileaks’ Information to Twitter
The U.S. government has asked Twitter to hand over private messages sent to and from Julian Assange and other users whohave links with WikilLeaks.
A court of the State of Virginia has asked the Social network to turn over: user names, email addresses, details of connections, phone numbers, the time of connection, and payments via Internet from November 2009 to the present.
As is reflected in the citation that appears in Salon.com, among the list of people whose accounts are being investigated include: Assange and Birgitta Jónsdóttir, Icelandic MP.
According to the warrant, issued on December 14 by the U.S. Court, the prosecutor of U.S. has submitted evidence showing that the requested information is “relevant “and the material is important “to an ongoing criminal investigation.”
