The strong campaign images show the abuse of women promoted by reggaeton lyrics

Reggaeton is a popular rhythm in Latin America, with erotic nuances, which is wildly danced in nightclubs and parties, whose lyrics have a background of sexual violence against women, presenting it as an object of desire.

Alejandra Hernandez and John Fredy Melo, university students from Colombia created a Facebook campaign called “Use reason”. “8 out of 10 women who listen to reggaeton feel abused by it,” says a post on its website.

Strong images taken by Lineyl Ibáñez show aggression quotes from popular songs of Daddy Yankee, Arcangel, Tego Calderon and Yaga & Mackie Ranks.
