Venezuelan residents in Guayaquil join protests in their country
About forty Venezuelans gathered from 10:30 outside of the Venezuela consulate in Guayaquil, located in Aguirre and Chile, to add their voice to the consultation request for Nicolas Maduro´s mandate revocatory.
Social groups, citizens and political opposition groups carried out the taking of Caracas, protest providing urge to the National Electoral Council to give a date for the referendum.
Although they preferred to maintain their identity in reserve, they said they want to support all Venezuelans that today have turned to the streets to defend freedom in their country.
“Even though we’re here, we have our family suffering the consequences of Maduro´s government and we want freedom for the legal way that is consultation,” said a young woman of 26 years.
The Venezuelan community in Guayaquil expects to attend so that people who work in the morning can attend as well. The appointment is today at 17:00 in the “Rotonda del Malecon”.
