Water Law , Penal and Monetary Code were the most debated in the first semester of Assembly
According to information the National Assembly publicly offers, six of the 22 laws that would be addressed in 2014 have been published in the Official Register. On this list are missing the Law on Water Resources, Use and Development of Water-already effective- and the Organic Monetary and Financial Code, which was approved on July 24 and it still expects the sanction or objection of the Executive .
It was these two laws, together with the Integral Penal Organic Code, the most debated within of the civil society. One of them, called of Water Resources, required pre legislative consultations with allegedly affected populations.
As for the laws approved by the National Assembly, during this semester, five have been sent by the Executive and two by the Legislature, as quantifies Marcelo Espinel, General Coordinator of the Legislative Observatory, another organization called the “citizen monitoring to the National Assembly “.
