Website of the Sevilla Club from Spain retracts from calling Barcelona SC a ‘copy’
Following the publication made by the website of the Seville Club of Spain, soccer rival to Barcelona in the Euro American Cup, caused controversy after saying that the Barcelona of Ecuador is a ‘copy’ of the Spanish soccer champion.
The article detailed the Spanish team upcoming matches held in South America and that next Wednesday, July 24th, they would reach Guayaquil to play against the yellow team on Saturday 27. However, the agency EFE said the game will be on Friday 26.
The Sevilla page wrote “(Barcelona) team also copied the name of the Catalan Blaugrana team (the Barcelona of Spain) has plagiarized even the shield.”
Hours later the text was changed to “(Barcelona) team bears the same name of the Catalan Blaugrana since it was founded by Spanish, even the shield has the same shape and also in Ecuador it has the same greatness that FC Barcelona has in Spain.“
