Wikileaks Is Not Going Away
Julian Assange, Founder of Wikileaks, has ensured that the content —which can not be displayed on wikileaks.org (recently lost his DNS provider— of his web page is impossible to remove completely from the Internet, hundreds of mirrors have been uploaded on different websites.
Meanwhile, the PostFinance Swiss bank closed the account that allowed the founder to receive donations. Amazon expelled Wikileaks from its servers and Paypal canceled its account.
Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney, has not confirmed if Washington is preparing to remove the Wikileaks web site. “The national security of the United States has been jeopardized. The life of people who work for Americans has been threatened. We’re doing what we can,” said Holder during a press conference in Washington.
Wikileaks has been cloned 507 times and instructions for anyone who wants to clone their content are available on the site too. No one knows where is Assange, the only thing is assured is that an encoded file that contains all the U.S. diplomatic cables and information from other governments has been uploaded; this content will come out in case something happens to Assange.
