William and Kate Will Receive Wedding Charitable Gifts

Prince William and his fiancee Kate Middleton, invited on Wednesday all people wishing to make a gift on his upcoming wedding to make a donation to a charity instead.

The royal household announced the creation of a fund to collect these donations, which may be made through the website.

The bride and groom personally selected 26 charities, most of them oftn little known and without royal patronage, which “reflect themes that have particularly interested the couple throughout their lives, ” said Prince William’s office in a statement.

Although most are in the UK, a New Zealand government organization t help victims of the devastating earthquake that left 200 dead last month in Christchurch.highlights
