Air crash in the French Alps
An aircraft of the German low-cost airline Germanwings, a subsidiary of Lufthansa, crashed on Tuesday in southern France, while covering the route Barcelona (Spain) – Dusseldorf (Germany).
The Airbus A320 carrying 142 passengers and 6 crew members on boardand according to initial reports, the accident occurred between Barcelonnette and Digne.
Francoise Hollande, the French president, said that “the accident conditions suggest that there is no survivor,” even though the air carrier did not issued states immediately after the accident occurred this morning.
Alain Vidalies, French Secretary of State for Transport, said that rescue teams that have come to this difficult access area, have located wreckage and some bodies in the Alpes de Haute Provence region.
